Last week, I was in East Leake with local councillors to see some of sites of recent flooding around Brookside. I met with affected constituents, including Andrew from Sarson’s Garage which was severely flooded during the recent storms.
Great to be at the Pierrepont Gamston Primary School’s careers fair recently, giving a presentation on my career as a Member of Parliament, answering questions on my day-to-day activities such as voting on new laws, helping constituents with any issues they may have, and working in the Whip’s Off

Between 1797 and 1936, the Grantham Canal moved coal lime, groceries and building material between Grantham and the River Trent at West Bridgford. Through its 18 Locks, the cargo drove the economy in this part of the East Midlands.
