What are we doing to stop houses flooding in Cropwell Butler?
Today I met with National Highways, Severn Trent and the County Council, to get an update on the work they are doing.
- National Highways is installing 24/7 monitoring equipment on its balancing ponds from next month.
- Severn Trent is doing a survey of the foul drainage system to find out where rainwater is getting in so that repairs can be made.
- We are also establishing who owns the drain behind the village hall so that we can look at improvements which could be made to it.
As your MP, I will continue to lobby the flooding minister to approve our bid for the Government's £25m Natural Flood Protection Grant, which will help with flood mitigations.
