We've had a lovely evening celebrating the PatchworkUK #mpoftheyearawards at Speaker's House. Many congratulations to all the winners and thank you to the constituents who nominated me for my work with the J9 programme, supporting survivors of domestic abuse.
This afternoon I talked with National Highways around expanding Junction 24 of the M1 to mitigate the extra transport caused by the new East Midlands Freeport and make sure that residents are not impacted, as well as around flooding in Cropwell Butler and the A46.
This morning I joined L'Oreal and the Suzy Lamplugh Trust who hosted a training session to raise awareness and educate people on how to prevent domestic and sexual abuse.
The training aims to empower people to become active bystanders when they see harassment taking place.
Watch me on BBC East Midlands, where we discuss the announcements from this year's Autumn Statement and funding for the East Midlands, high street accessibility for visually impaired people, and flood prevention/mitigation.
Thank you to Amit, Hari, Cllr Hetvi Parekh, Anjali and Rani from Nottingham Ekta Pariwar Shakha for inviting me to take part in the HSS UK Annual Parliament week celebrations.
Thank you so much to Breast Cancer Now for inviting me to their #WearItPink drop in in parliament!
55,000 women and 400 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in the UK. By wearing pink and raising money we’re helping to drive forward research and give life-changing support.
