In order to produce the technologies that we need to get to net zero, we need secure supplies of critical minerals, like lithium for electric car batteries.
The BEIS select committee, which I'm a member of, has been told that 95% of the world's supply of lithium is processed in China so today I asked the Climate Change Minister what the UK was doing to make our supply chain more secure and boost lithium processing in the UK.
