As part of the wider government investment in healthcare, I am working to improve local services. This includes the redevelopment of East Leake health centre with an aim to modernise and expand healthcare provision for the area. By expanding primary and community care services to cover increased demand, and securing a wider and higher standard of care, the plans will ensure that more out-of-hospital services can be delivered closer to residents. I have since been urging East Leake residents to back this bid for a new Health and Community Hub by adding their name to the long list of people supporting the refurbishment.
I have met with the Clinical Commissioning Group for Nottinghamshire and Rushcliffe Borough Council who are putting the bid together for a new Health and Community Hub in East Leake to ensure residents' views are taken into consideration.
