As part of the wider government investment in healthcare, Ruth is working to improve local services. This includes the redevelopment of East Leake health centre with an aim to modernise and expand healthcare provision for the area. By expanding primary and community care services to cover increased demand, and securing a wider and higher standard of care, the plans will ensure that more out-of-hospital services can be delivered closer to residents. This will reduce travel times and improve patient experience.
Ruth has already met with the NHS Rushcliffe Care Commissioning Group (CCG) to build the case for East Leake Health Centre. This will be put to governemnt to ensure local health services are recognised and supported for the brilliant work they do.
