In parliament today, I spoke about the part the East Midlands has to play in global Britain.
We are a manufacturing hub and have many unique and special businesses driving our region forward, such as Colston Bassett Dairy, Cropwell Bishop Creamery & Cheesemaker's Shop, Wattbike and Nutracheck
This is why the proposal for a freeport that would cover East Midlands Airport, a new green manufacturing cluster at Ratcliffe-on-Soar, and the East midlands Intermodal Park is such a fantastic and unique opportunity.
We have so much potential in our region and I will continue to fight for the East Midlands' place at the heart of global Britain.
