It was great to welcome Secretary of State for Work & Pension Mel Stride to Rushcliffe last week to visit the Job Centre Plus in Nottingham & Carefound Home Care Jobs.
The visit to Job Centre plus in Nottingham allowed them to also to talk about their part in the J9 Domestic Abuse Initiative , with each job centre office having a trained domestic abuse specialist to deal with these cases.
After the job centre we then visited Carefound Home Care to discuss the recruitment and retention of care staff as well as to see and understand how they’re encouraging people into care through the Department of Work and Pensions’ Swaps Scheme.
I really want to thank the Secretary of State for visiting our local job centre to see and hear how their J9 training has saved lives and local organisations are encouraging people into work.
