Recently in Parliament, I spoke about the new Levelling-up and Regeneration Bill and how it will benefit us here in Rushcliffe.
It resolves many of the concerns that have been raised with me, including that too many homes are built in the countryside rather than on brownfield sites. Importantly, it will abolish the Duty to Cooperate which has enabled Labour-run Nottingham City Council to shirk its responsibility to build houses and regenerate the city centre - they have used this national policy to push nearly 5000 houses away from brownfield city sites into the countryside of Rushcliffe, on top of our own housing target.
