Ruth Edwards MP: General COVID Debate 22/02/21

Monday, 22 February, 2021

Today in Parliament, I welcomed the roadmap to easing COVID-19 restrictions.

We have all made a tremendous effort in tacking coronavirus and limiting its spread so I am glad the PM’s announcement sets out the path to restore our freedoms.

I would also like to say a huge thank you to those on the frontline of Rushcliffe’s vaccine operation, particularly the team at the Gamston vaccination centre.

A special mention also goes out to those at the University of Nottingham for their continued effort in developing new ways to tackle COVID. Thank you all so much!

So proud of Hetvi and her amazing Sewa Day volunteers - I'm so pleased their work has been recognised by the Prime Minister. Very well deserved.
