Last night on BBC The World Tonight I spoke about the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill.
You’ve probably heard a lot of noise claiming that this Bill will limit the freedom to protest, but this is just not true.
The Bill will give our Police the powers to take action against those who engage in disruptive and dangerous behaviour such as those who block ambulances or glue themselves to public transport.
Protest is fundamental in any democracy, but you can make a point without causing serious disruption to wider society.
