Today I met with Lee Rowley Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Business and Industry to ask for support for a Carbon Capture and Storage unit at the East Midlands Freeport at the Ratcliffe on Soar site. This is an amazing opportunity to make the site carbon negative by approximately 200,000 tonnes of CO2 per year.
