Backing our Police
Our police force does so much to protect and serve us for which I am extremely grateful for. That is why I will aways back our police.
This year, Nottinghamshire has welcomed 350 new police officers. In parliament, I have pushed for forces like ours, who were so rapid in their recruitment drives to be the first to receive additional funding.
I have asked the PM to back our special constables who wanted to serve full time throughout the pandemic.
While on the Home Affairs Select Committee, I have investigated the pressures put on our police from enforcing COVID-19 restrictions.
I will continue to stand up for our police forces to ensure they have the resources they need to do the excellent job they do.
