Financial Support for the Public

Not only is Coronavirus a major health concern, I know that many people are worried about the effect Covid-19 will have on their financial security.

Please be assured that the Government is aware of the difficulties that employees and individuals may face and is taking steps to support those who need it throughout this challenging period.

If you’re an employee, self-employed, on a zero-hour contract, if you work in the gig economy or run a business, please see The Chancellor’s financial support fact sheet attached below as it provides up-to-date information about how to access financial help.

If you need to self-isolate, you can find out how to get an isolation note to give to your employer here.

The Government’s guidance for employees includes the following:

Staying at home

Working from home

Sick pay

Accessing Benefits

Self-employment Income Support Scheme

Furloughed workers

I will update my website as guidance and information changes. As ever, you can contact me on ruth.edwards.mp@parliament.uk
