Increasing School Funding

Every parent wishes to send their child to a great school near their home.

We want to ensure that school places are available and that teachers and staff are fully supported in the amazing work they do. This is why Ruth will fight for our fair share of the Conservatives' multi-billion pound increase to school funding. This works out at £5,000 per secondary school pupil and £4,000 per primary school pupil for our area by 2021-2022. This funding will be used to expand classrooms and upgrade school facilities. In Rushcliffe, five schools have already benefitted from this, including Brookside Primary in East Leake, Heymann Primary & Nursery School in West Bridgford, Keyworth Primary & Nursery and Crossdale Primary in Keyworth, and Tollerton Primary.

Ruth also campaigns for the creation of safer crossings and access outside schools in our community, making sure our children can get to and from school safely.
